founded in 2020, the beach and back is based in nj and inspired by many adventures to various beaches all along the east coast every summer for as long as I can remember. every shore town in every state has a different vibe, but they all have in common the wide-open blue spaces, sea, sand and sun that we all love

the products i create are inspired by the beach and the ocean, are simple and elegant and a beautiful addition to your wardrobe. i believe everything should layer together beautifully as well as compliment the things you have already invested in. 

over time, we collect things with colors, prints, and textures that resonate with us, comfort us, or just make us happy. i hope you return here often to find more of these things that you love to collect, and that they become beautiful additions to your wardrobe that remind you of your trips to the beach and back

​inspired by her years as vice president of product development in new york city overseeing well-known brands such as lonna & lilly, anne klein, nine west, dkny, givenchy, judith jack, napier, as well as other private label brands shipping to national retail chains such as nordstrom, macy’s, dillards, bloomingdales, lord & taylor, jcpenny, kohls, beals, belk, bonton, and target, carey had always dreamed of building her own brand that would resonate with likeminded beachgoers everywhere. in october 2020, the beach and back was born.

​in addition to her 20 years of experience in manufacturing, design, production and product development carey holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art and graphic design from university of massachusetts.

carey is currently working on creating beautiful, coastal inspired, and quality jewelry products and accessories, while caring for her 3 boys and husband from her home in nj, and trying to get to the beach as much as possible.
